Questions families ask

How do I know which level is right?

You don't have to. At the placement visit an instructor spends a half hour in the water with your swimmer, and we choose a level and a class time together.

Do we need a letter or a report to book?

No. We ask what helps at the placement visit, and you share only what you like.

What is a level?

A level is a short list of what swimmers practice, named for the skill. Your swimmer moves up when the instructor sees the skills are steady, and never because a session ended.

How long is a class?

Thirty minutes. A session is eight weeks, and summer is six.

What should we bring?

A towel, a change of clothes and a swimsuit or swim shirt. Bring goggles, a cap, ear plugs or anything else that helps, and a picture schedule or communication device if your swimmer uses one.

Where do I watch?

From the chairs along the deck. A parent or caregiver stays at the pool during every class.

Can a parent or caregiver come in the water?

Yes, if it helps. We plan it together at the placement visit.

Who is in the water with my swimmer?

An instructor, beside your swimmer the whole class.

What if we miss a class?

Tell us as early as you can. A class missed for illness can be made up in another class of the same level, as space allows.

What if the pool closes?

We text families, and the class is made up in the same session.
